Growing Up.

It's Aimee here guys.

Now I understand that the title of this posts makes it sound alot like I am about to talk about periods and erections. I'm not for a few reasons; it's awkward, I don't have a penis much to some peoples surprise, nor do I have much experience with them either...In all seriousness guys I want to talk to you about what it feels like to grow up in terms of responsibilities and life after school.

Background Information about post 16 options in the UK.

If you have read our other posts you will know that Chloe and I have just finished secondary school(if you're not from the UK, secondary school is education between the ages of 11 and 15/16 years old) and I can honestly say that the thought of me not being in secondary school anymore scares me.

When you turn 16 in the UK you now have to go onto further education for two years. You can do this by either attending college, sixth form(a smaller college either on the grounds of or inside your secondary school) or by doing an apprenticeship(a method of learning on the job, you get paid a small salary whilst working and learning about your chosen profession.) If you go to college you can choose to learn about one certain profession such as hairdressing or car mechanics etc or you can do your a levels( I will explain more about these further down.) Sixth form is just for studying A-Levels.

If you decide to study A-Levels you will do so in either sixth form or college. A-Levels are subjects that you will study for two years in great detail. Alot of the time you pick your A-levels around the career path you want to go down but also some people choose the subject they enjoy most. You can choose to do 3 or 4 subjects to study at A-level.

What I have decided to do.

I have decided to do my A-levels at the sixth form that is on the same grounds as my old secondary school. I have decided to study; Childcare,English Literature and Double award Health and social care. The reason I have picked these subjects is because I have not quite decided what I want to do as my job in the future but I do know that I would like to work in the care industry which is why I have decided to do double award Health and social care. I worked in a children's nursery for my work experience and I loved it so I would also like to work with children hence why I took childcare. I took English Literature because I enjoyed it at GCSE and hope that it will get me reading more.

The reason I decided to go to sixth form instead of college is because, and I am being honest, I wouldn't be able to cope with being around so many people; The college near us holds about 2000 students and it is huge whereas the sixth form has about 70 students in and is pretty small in comparison. I have anxiety which not many people know about, it is only mild anxiety but I get quite nervous around lots of people and I think I would be always too worried about being around the many people that I probably wouldn't be focussing on my work- as stupid as that sounds. With sixth form the atmosphere is so calm and relaxing which is perfect for little miss I hate crowds over here! Also, I know most if not all of the people at the sixth form because they went to my previous school which means awkward introductions are unnecessary. I just feel that sixth form is the best option for me and hopefully I will still agree when I begin.

Why I am scared to join sixth form is purely for one reason. I am in charge of how much I learn. At A-level, the teachers teach(wow no shit sherlock) and we have to make notes in our notebooks, what we don't get written down,we don't learn, it's our own fault. In secondry the teachers tell you the important things to write down and they will go over things you don't understand until you do, In the sixth form, if you don't get something written down then it is your job to find the teacher in your free time to catch up. That's what scares me the most. Being the master of my own future, being responsible for my own success. Arghhhhhh.Such a stressful time.
Anyway, Chloe and I have our Sixth form induction day tomorrow and I have mixed feelings if I am honest. In a way I am nervous because I am going to be meeting the teachers I will be having for the next 2 years and also the other people in my classes and the people in year 13 who will be there in September. But also I am excited because I hate not knowing about things that are going to happen and at the moment sixth form is one big confusing blurrr.. at least tomorrow I will know a lot more.
Any way I shall update you on how we get on.
Thats all guys,

Top 5 Products Under £10 Series: Blush and Bronzers.

Hey Guys!
So I know I didnt post yesterday and I said I would but I had a family kinda day in the sun and completely forgot to post! **SLAPS SELF ON WRIST** ! Anyway this post is about my top 5 blushers and bronzers. All pictures are from the websites I bought them out and also the prices are from them websites too.. Lastly I am in no way affiliated with any of the brands mentioned and all opinions are my own!! Today I have linked all of the products so that you guys can check them out.

NYC Cheek Glow Nolita Pink - £2.99

What I like about this blush is that it really does give you a glowing complexion, this was the first blush I ever bought when I started to really collect makeup. It has a subtle highlight in it and it really makes your face look glowy. It is very sheer so can be applied lightly to add a slight flush of colour to a natural face of makeup or used to really make the cheeks pop when built up over a few layers. I find it best to apply it lightly and slowly build up if needed. I really love this blusher!

NYC Colour Wheel Pink Cheek Glow-£3.99

This blusher is alot less shimmery than than the one above but it still leaves your cheeks with a lovely soft glow if applied properly.  One thing I will say about this is that you cant be heavy handed when it comes to application or you will look like a prostitute- If thats the look you are going for then by all means go a head but if you want a lovely corale-pink flush then apply gently. You get so much product in the pan too! I have used this blush at least 4 times a week for 2 years and I havent even hit pan yet. Such great value for money!

10 Colour Blush Palette - £3.99

This palette is perfect for people who are starting to collect makeup and want to start small with their collection. It is great for people who want to try a range of different colours on the cheeks but not break the bank in doing so. Each blush in the palette works out at just over 39p which is a bargain. The quality of the blushes are amazing and have great pigmentation. I love this palette- you can see by the picture that the colours are beautiful and there is such a wide range in the palette that you could probably just own this one palette and be sorted!

Barry M Deep Glow Bronzer -£5.69
Barry M Deep Glow Bronzer

This bronzer may be such an amazing for the summer time. Its not overly dark despite the name and rather than looking orange it is the most subtle shade of brown and can be easily built up. It is so easy to apply! It is perfect for contouring and looks great on post-holiday bronzed skin. AMAZING!

Miss Sporty Oh Tan So Fine Multi 1- £2.99

Miss Sporty Oh Tan So Fine Multi 1This bronzer is perfect for beginners or someone who wants to save money. Coming in at nearly £3.00 for the both shades which works out at £1.50 each! I find the lighter one is perfect for paler skin and the darker shade is perfect for tanned skin. I LOVE this bronzer.

Well thats todays top 5 guys!

Top 5 products under £10 series: Base Makeup.

Hey Guys!
It's Aimee again!
If you follow us on instagram you will know that everyday for the next seven days I will be sharing with you my favourite 5 products within a certain category of beauty that cost £10 or less. Each day will be a different category. Today's post is all about base makeup, so the first few products you apply to your face when you do your makeup. I have tried to talk about a range of different products and I would like to say that all opinions are my own and I am not affiliated with any of the brands mentioned. Also the pictures used are from the superdrug website because some of the products I have run out of and haven't yet repurchased.

Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser- £7.99

Now as many people say, the product is a dupe for Benefits POREfessional and I completely agree! I have quite large pores on my nose and when using a lighter coverage foundation they become visible and I HATE it but when I use Baby Skin they become invisible, it sort of blurs the pores out which is so weird. Also the base it creates for my foundation is amazing and it leaves my foundation looking flawless. If you're looking for something that keeps your makeup on and also makes your face look good too- basically a great all rounder- then this is the primer for you.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer- £3.19

There are two main types of concealers- brightening concealer and heavy duty concealers- this one is definitely the heavy duty type. I'm not sure if this is the right concealer for under the eyes because personally I feel it does crease under my eyes.HOWEVER, this concealer has covered every single spot I have used it on, even the giant red mountains I am currently rocking, it sticks on the spot to cover it up and it certainly doesn't look cakey which is a bonus! I can even just wear this with powder and still dare to leave the house without a mask on! I have bought about 4 of these up to now and I don't plan on finding a new one!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation-£8.99

WARNING: I WILL TALK ABOUT THIS FOUNDATION 10000 TIMES MORE ON THIS BLOG BECAUSE I AM IN LOVE WITH IT.

What I love about this is that it has an anti fatigue effect which is designed to make the skin look more dewy and awake. It is so easy to apply it and it really gives me confidence which I never thought I would say considering it is a lighter coverage foundation but I just love how this looks on my skin. I wear this every spring/summer time because I really like to go for a more natural look in these months. Mixed with a small amount of moisturiser it sort of doubles up as a tinted moisturiser which is why I never use things such as BB creams etc, I can still get a lighter coverage if I want it and still get my dewy, bright skin. AHHHHH LOVE IT!

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation - £8.99

Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation Classic Beige 201If I want a fuller coverage foundation this tends to be the foundation I reach for. I have to admit I do not think it lives up to it's '25 hour' finish but to be fair I have never tried to keep it on for 25 hours but it genuinely does stay on for longer than most. It is, in my opinion, comparable to the MAC Studio fix foundation. You do need to find your correct colour as it can look a bit to much if the colour is too light, I once got a colour that was one shade lighter than my usual and I looked STUPID because of its heavy coverage. Once you find your perfect shade though, you do get a lovely finish. It is such a lovely foundation.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder- £3.99

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder Peach Glow 3

I use this powder EVERYDAY without fail. Whether its on its own or on top of foundation. I use this powder 3 ways;
- I use the shade 005 on top of concealer for a light coverage.
- I use the shade 003 on top of my wake me up foundation mixed with moisturiser for a brighter complexion.
- I use the transparent shade over any foundation to set it.
Once I add this on top of any foundation it sets it and keeps it in place all day. It never ever looks cakey! Theres not much more to say really because I cant praise this powder enough!

So here we have my top 5 base makeup products. Tomorrow I will be posting my top 5 blushers and bronzers that are under £10. Please follow for more updates and posts from us and to be alerted when we post.
Thats all for tonight guys,

Sleepover and 2 Bloggers at a Concert!

Hey Guys!! Its Aimee here!
First of all I am so sorry this post is late but Chloe and I have been really busy revising and with school and we had the shittiest maths exam ever! ( see Chloe's post below) so I have now finally got some time to relax and write this post for you guys.

Soo... Last year, Me,Chloe and our other best friend, Jayne, booked tickets to see 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER at the newcastle metro radio arena on June 2nd 2015. So began the LONG wait for the concert.

On Monday, Chloe came to my house after school to stay the night, we had food, watched TV and chilled out. We also found out that Chloe must be the freaking dog whisperer or something because I have a very excitable 11 month old dog who usually will jump all over someone as soon as they first meet her and for some reason, Tilly(dog) just relaxed and gave her a cuddle. We then braved the cold and wind to take the dog for a walk and got home just before a mega rainstorm occurred.
We got ready for bed after having a prat around and just being silly and we stayed up taking selfies and talking about makeup until after midnight.

When we woke up on Tuesday, luckily the sun was out. So we got ready and went up to Chloe's house whilst she got a few bits from home. By the time we got back home it was 1.30pm and we only had 2 hours until we had to go to Jaynes. Despite this we both managed to do some really pretty makeup. I went for neutral eyes, eyeliner, contoured face and a really neutral mauve colour in the lips. Chloe also done neutral eyes but done some amazing eyeliner with nude lips. I must say we looked good xD.
We then got a taxi to Jaynes house and then we set off to newcastle. We set off to Newcastle at 4pm, now you would expect that from where we live to Newcastle it would take us around an hour with the traffic. NO NO NO NO. The SAT NAV got us to newcastle but then kind of gave up and sent us on a wild goose chase and we ended up back at  the same place at least four times. It was around 5:50pm by the time we managed to get parked up in the arena car park. We passed the crowds of fan girls sat at various places around the arena and we went for some food because we were all STARVING. Myself and Jayne got a subway and Chloe went to the Greggs across from subway. We then went back to the car and ate our dinner.

We finished and made our way into the arena, had a toilet break and then me and Chlo bought the biggest drinks I had ever seen in my life (hahaha) we found our seats pretty quickly and we had a decent view, we weren't exactly close- we weren't close as in if one of them sneezed we would get germs but we could see them clearly enough!
At 7;30pm the Opening act, Hey Violet, came out and they were pretty good at warming us all up but I was too excited for 5SOS to come out.At 8pm, Hey Violet finished and then we had half an hour to kill before the Boys came out . We went to have a look around the arena and bought some chips(which were £3.80 and so not worth it) and then went back to our seats.

When the introduction for the boys came on the whole arena went crazy and then when they came onto the stage, everyone in the room was screaming with excitement! The Band were amazing, nothing at all negative to say. The interaction between the boys and the audience was spot on. We danced, screamed and sang our hearts out and when 'Amnesia came on, and everyone had their phone lights on and the atmosphere was electric! It is so strange; how thousands of people, who don't know each other and who may not get along usually, push everything to one side and are joined together by four people singing on a stage!
After the concert had finished, we were very tired but we were still on cloud nine. Despite the fact we could barely hear, see or talk, we were on a high!

I can honestly say, that night was one of the most amazing nights of my life and I am so thankful for the opportunity, and I am so grateful that I got to experience it with my two best friends!
Thats all for this post guys!
